2022 Sonata Reviews at a Glance: Car and Driver

Car and Driver mentions in its Hyundai Sonata review that it’s a great bang for the buck while also delivering the goods:

The 2022 Hyundai Sonata is a family sedan that’s both visually interesting and a really good value. Hyundai’s mid-sizer comes in a variety of flavors, from well-equipped entry-level trims to a trio of thrifty hybrids to a tire-squawking performance model.”

Not only is the SEL Plus model the most affordable way to get the upgraded 180-hp turbo-four engine, it’s also the only Sonata that currently comes with 19-inch rims and enhanced all-season tires. It also features a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster, leatherette and microsuede upholstery, back-seat air vents and USB port, and wireless charging. We’d option our preferred Sonata with the Tech package, too. It adds a 12-speaker Bose stereo, a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and a semi-autonomous drive mode.”

2022 Sonata Reviews at a Glance: U.S. News and World Report

Venerable automotive reviewer U.S. News and World Report also paints a picture of a well-rounded vehicle in its Sonata review:

“Yes, the Hyundai Sonata is a good car. […] The Sonata gets good gas mileage and has one of the nicest cabins in the midsize car class. The seats are roomy and supportive, trunk space is good, and the infotainment system is easy to use.”

“The Sonata carries a base price of $24,350. That’s below the starting price of many class rivals. The range-topping Sonata Limited starts at $34,250, which is also a bit low compared to other top-trim prices in the class.”

2022 Sonata Reviews at a Glance: Kelley Blue Book

As for Kelley Blue Book, here’s their take on the Hyundai Sonata review:

“The 2022 Hyundai Sonata is a fine midsize sedan. It’s fresh, looks sharp, offers tons of tech, packs plenty of space, and doesn’t cost a fortune. Trim levels range from unassuming-yet-respectable to almost-luxurious or uncharacteristically sporty. Hyundai has put a lot of time, effort, and value into this latest Sonata.”
